How Nuru Massage Works
Nuru Massage is performed on a mat, in an environment carefully prepared to encourage relaxation: low lighting, soft music, and a pleasant temperature. Everything invites you to slow down.
The therapist begins the session by applying Nuru gel — a transparent, slippery gel made from seaweed — onto her own body and the client’s body. From there, a fluid sequence of movements begins, where touch happens continuously, using not only the hands but also arms, legs, abdomen, and other parts of the body.
It is a body-to-body massage, silent and unhurried, where the pace is gentle, the gestures are slow, and full attention is given to the present moment.
The technique does not follow a fixed script: it is guided by the body’s responses and the receiver’s breathing. This makes each session unique, deep, and personalized.
More than just relieving tension, Nuru provides a sensorial journey that integrates the body, calms the mind, and awakens sensations beyond traditional touch. The session may include lingam massage (for men) or yoni massage (for women) — techniques from Tantric massage — completing the experience with subtle and attentive touch.
